Outside deTECHtives Camp
Students Entering Grades 6-8
July 25-28, 2022
Using science, technology, engineering and math, campers will explore the fundamental concepts of programming and environmental literacy through fun and engaging hands-on projects. We welcome all students, grades 6-8, to join us in learning computer science basics while also exploring how to make responsible environmental decisions regarding human impact on their surroundings. The Outside deTechtives Camp will culminating with a final project.
This in person camp experience is offered at no cost and provided by the Sacramento County Office of Education.

Learning to code is like gaining a super power because there are no limits to what you can create! Join a group of your peers, lead by CS professionals and CS graduate students, in learning how to program through fun hands-on projects. Camp instructors come with the hopes of inspiring and mentoring students toward STEM Careers. This CS experience is geared toward rising middle school girls—trans and cis—and non-binary students. No prior coding or computer science experience is required.
